CASE 01 / GEOGRAPHIC CONTEXTSYNTHETIC CASE

The fictional wind asset DEMO-WIND-01 lies east of the supplied invented protected boundary. Terrain height, vegetation and the turbine model are illustrative. The original synthetic GeoJSON can be inspected in the geography step.

01 / CONNECT THE CONTEXT

The whole picture.
A clearer finding.

A policy is a statement. A map is an observation. A finding is a reasoned interpretation. TRACE keeps their connections visible.

THE ORIGINAL WORDS

Start at the source.

Keep the document, the page and the exact version. A company commitment stays attributed to the company.

THE SPATIAL CONTEXT

Bring place into view.

Inspect the asset, its location and its relationship to the company. Proximity opens a research question.

THE HUMAN JUDGEMENT

Make the reasoning inspectable.

Findings retain their evidence and limitations. A separate eligible reviewer decides on an exact version.

01 / THE SOURCE

Begin with the original material.

Open the supplied synthetic PDF to inspect the material behind this fictional research case.

This walkthrough explains the workflow. It does not run research, record a review or connect to the local application's database.

03 / KEEP THE HISTORY

The source changes.
The trail remains.

A later disclosure can change the scope of an earlier statement. TRACE identifies work that needs another look while preserving the released conclusion and its original sources.

04 / RESEARCH WITH BOUNDARIES

A location starts
a question.
Evidence shapes
the answer.

Geographic proximity does not establish ecological harm, a permit breach or financial loss. Source dates, location accuracy, dataset coverage and the company–asset relationship still matter.

About this prototype

The full local application implements persistent documents, evidence, findings, review, memos, asset geography and source-change cases. This public site is a project presentation and a fixed browser walkthrough.

The default research adapter is deterministic fixture logic. Admitted real datasets, live-model quality, independent review by real people and an operated production pilot remain to be validated. The implementation used AI assistance.
